Testes of the rough-tailed geckos Cyrtopodion scabrum, dwelling in western Iranian plateau, were histologically studied. During the degenerative period of a testicular cycle, degeneration of germinative layer of seminiferous occurred. On the other hand during this period, regeneration of testicular capsule and interstitial tissue occurred. Environmental and physiological condition have important role to periodical changes of testicular parameter in hibernate lizards.
